Enriched versus high

Hello,

Do you native speakers see a difference between:

salmon-enriched diet and high-salmon diet?

If there's no difference, which one do you prefer? Rats were fed lots of salmon to see its impact on their blood cells and lipids (LDL, HDL, etc). Thanks.

@Doubtful,
Yes there is a difference.

The word 'enriched' implies intent. A 'salmon -enriched' diet is a diet that is purposely manipulated to maximize the amount of salmon (it seems a little funny that someone would do this with salmon). It also suggests that the amount of salmon is more than might naturally occur.

The word 'high' is only a comment on the amount.
