I have written a riddle, and I just wanted to see if anyone could guess it! Thanks!

Some call me a home,
Others an umbrella,
I have lots of arms,
But lack the fingers,
I dive deep below the ground
To find what I'm looking for.

How about a tree (home to many creatures, canopy is an umbrella, branches are arms, roots dive for water)?
