In movies Russians always say comrade (in English), how do you say this in Russian?

"Tovarish." I'm not sure if that's the official English spelling though.

I think that it is more like "Tovarisch". Remember, what you are doing is transliterating, so what you want to do is best capture the sound of the word in a different alphabet.

Dal, there are two more people having Russian as a native tongue: DocentP and me. But Ukrainian for me is like Chinese: do not know even one word...
