@jeevanantham,
Jeev it's often done electromagnetically, eg using a resonant tank

The semiconductor is another such medium

No need for silly links, Dale, you are not understanding the question.

Have you have ever been around a converter?

Timur, perhaps instead of hassling Dale, you could actually try answering the OP's question. I must say your remarks do not suggest that you are qualified to do so.

RF signal? Electric power?

Signal to power: antenna - tuned circuit.
Power to signal: oscillator - tuned circuit - antenna.

For more detail consult electrical engineering and radio text books.

@contrex,
Thanks Con again for your support

Specifically what do yuou suppose was wrong with my interpretation

"Signal convertor" is usu thought of as frequency conversion as in a superhet of course but Jeev's q seems to ask about converting to another sort of energy, or then converting back again. I guess "convert" is a kind of loose term

@contrex,
Your suggestions are your own and you are entitled to make them.

However, I'm waiting for the question to be precise enough, and you show it isn't by your own questions, to reply.

About me hassling Dale, I consider that he hassles me with his crappy links and approximate answers.

I've found that, at times, his answers are even dangerous..

You know the saying about a little knowledge...

@jeevanantham,
Evidently Jeev my Googlings are relatively amateurish. However I've noted over the decades that a more nearly precise wording is likely to result in just the answer you need. If I were thou I'd try various combinations of terms like "power," "conversion," "signal," "transmission," "energy," "electromagnetic," etc

I can't see how it might this entail any serious danger unless you spend too much time at it, starving yourself or alienating your Better Half

The question seems to me a bit like "how can I make flying machine?", in that it is (a) in broken English and (b) impossibly vague, like saying "please write me physics textbook, as I am too lazy to look for one."

As in many such postings from others in his circumstance, suspect Jeev's youth might be an impediment in these respects, if not also esl
