@LonelyGamer,
Care and maintenance of the long-eared hedgehog (Hemiechinus auritus) at home:

Considered about the same in habit and appearance as the ordinary white-bellied hedgehog or four-toed hedgehog (Atelerix albiventris) and the North African hedgehog (A. algirus), we only need to remember that the hedgehog, although not the most sociable animal, does nonetheless require attention. Typically for instance it must regularly be conducted on a regular stroll around the apartment, while you need to observe its finicky dining habits (apple slices will go uneaten) .

House an eared hedgehog alone in a terrarium, not forcing it in any way to suffer exposure to the Neighborhood Environment. Sawdust is often used as a filler, but considered more suitable are paper towels or disposable diapers .

The urchin or urcheon, Middle English for "hedgehog," can be fed minced meat generously sprinkled with powdered milk, a mixture of raw eggs, grated vegetables and white bread, and insects or mealworms .
