@cicerone imposter,
I think you are confusing growing disguist at the ineptitude and total political focus of the Obama administration with exaggerated fear. Instead the American people are becoming increasingly dissatisfied with the continuing parade of corruption, mismanagement and political perversion of major departments of our government.

Having an amateur in charge of the country who believes he can get by with Chiucago politics in every issue is indeed a little frightening in a still dangerous world.

The Obama political illusions are at an end.

The supreme court were at it again over the weekend. They approved the voter ID law in Texas that essentially is discriminatory against blacks and Hispanics estimated at about 600,000 registered voters. Ginsburg wrote the dessenting vote saying that the supreme court is again playing politics that is essentially discriminatory.

The GOP has no shame, and they ignore the US Constitution that "all men are created equal." Minorities in Texas need voter ID cards that 'they' approve; it's okay to use an NRA ID card, but not a student ID card.

Go figure.

GOP governors don't see 'Obamacare' going away

WASHINGTON (AP) — While Republicans in Congress shout, "Repeal Obamacare," GOP governors in many states have quietly accepted the law's major Medicaid expansion. Even if their party wins control of the Senate in the upcoming elections, they just don't see the law going away.

Nine Republican governors have expanded Medicaid for low-income people in their states, despite their own misgivings and adamant opposition from conservative legislators. Three more governors are negotiating with the Democratic administration in Washington.

Rather than demanding repeal, the governors generally have sought federal concessions to make their decisions more politically acceptable at home. That approach is in sharp contrast to the anti-Obamacare fervor of their party in Congress.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich says he doesn't think there will be a repeal in Washington, even if Republicans win a Senate majority and consolidate their hold on the House in next month's election.

"That's not gonna happen," the Republican governor told The Associated Press during a recent re-election campaign swing.

Sheesh. Democrats running for Congress don't talk about Obamacare, yet Republican governors up for re-election want Obamacare for their states to hush "THIS GUY IS AGAINST OBAMACARE" messages?

@cicerone imposter,
NRA ID card? Why are you lying? It also says nothing about minorities needing ID, it says EVERYONE must have an ID to vote. Here is what the Texas voting page says:

The voter must present one of the seven (7) acceptable forms of identification:

Texas driver license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
Texas concealed handgun license issued by DPS
United States military identification card containing the person’s photograph
United States citizenship certificate containing the person’s photograph
United States passport

DPS= Dept of Public Safety

http://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/pamphlets/largepamp.shtml

Of the 7 types of ID's accepted, 4 of them are state issued ID's from DPS and the other 3 are federal ID's. Only state official ID's should be used for elections. Student ID's are not issued by DPS and there for hold no weight as an official ID. Don't like it? Change the laws to make college ID's issued by DPS and then they can be used for elections.

Pigs are flying!!!

http://www.msnbc.com/rachel-maddow-show/gop-governor-obamacare-has-made-real-improvements-peoples-lives

Once in a great while, a politician will slip and accidentally tell the truth. Take Ohio Gov. John Kasich (R), for example, who inadvertently praised the Affordable Care Act.

“Repeal and replace” has been a Republican mantra for nearly as long as Obamacare has been in existence. Yet one of the GOP’s rumored 2016 front-runners isn’t playing along.

Ohio Gov. John Kasich, who is expected to cruise to reelection this year and then seek the Republican nomination in 2016, recently told the Associated Press that repealing the Affordable Care is “not gonna happen.” “The opposition to it was really either political or ideological,” he said. “I don’t think that holds water against real flesh and blood, and real improvements in people’s lives.”

You could almost hear Kasich’s national ambitions evaporating as the AP article made the rounds.

@Baldimo,
What do you think these are?

Texas personal identification card issued by DPS
Texas concealed handgun license issued by DPS

Tell us what the philosophical difference there are between the two.

In essence, Texas is saying you can carry a concealed gun into the voting booth, but nobody can use a Texas issued student ID card.

@cicerone imposter,
That is not an NRA ID. You might think it is but that is your personal opinion. Texas doesn't issue student ID cards. Schools issue the cards and therefore they are not official ID's accepted in almost any state. There is nothing official about them. They do not contain any info but student name and a picture. No address or any other type of official information. If there is a # present, it won't reference on any database but the one with the school.

Why is it so hard to understand that school ID's are not state issued or recognized ID's?

@Baldimo,
Texas doesn't require you be a citizen of Texas or even of the US to issue concealed handgun license. Don't you think that can lead to fraud?

@parados,
I didn't see any proof of non-US citizens being able to have a carry conceal permit. It only talks about Texas citizens. Could it lead to fraud? Sure anything can lead to fraud but with the amount of time and money you have to put into a CC license it would be rare. Unlike other ID's a CC requires and background check and verification to obtain. Student ID's require little to obtain and hold no official status.

@cicerone imposter,
Is Zimmerman a resident of Texas? If he isn't then he can't vote in Texas. I don't know why a non-resident would want a CC permit from a state they don't live in. Most states accept CC permits from other states. Just like with drivers license's.

Speaking of so called "voter fraud"

Quote:
James O’Keefe , perhaps best known as the undercover pimp who targeted the community organizing group ACORN, has once again been trying to target Democratic candidates with undercover schemes, this time in Colorado. Last week, he and two collaborators tried to bait field staffers working on the reelection campaign for Sen. Mark Udall (D-CO) into approving voter fraud using Colorado’s new vote-by-mail system.
