A window frame is to be covered with screen. An additional 1 in. wide strip of screen is to cover the outside of the frame. Dimensions of frame: 4ft. 4 in. x 2 ft. 2 in. Calculate area of screen.

Multiply one by the other, adding on the inch first (at each end and on each side) of course.
