Jesus Christ . . . the point is that people are whining about the national anthem, and "America the Beautiful" is not the national anthem.

Good point Boomerang, but I think what most people are upset about is how our country is no longer the Great Melting Pot, it has become more of a tossed salad. I was a little shocked to see the commercial, but I also wasn't surprised.

(No, I'm not a "progressive." I'm just a moderate, a centrist. I'm not popular here at A2K. I voted for McCain in 2008 and didn't vote in 2014. Because Palin's such an idiot, I now wish I hadn't voted in 2008 either.)

So if all these "minorities" were assimilating into white America it would be a melting pot but if whites are asked to assimilate even a little into THEIR cultures it's a tossed salad? riiiight. Might white of ya .
