they aren't stuck on, they show up on the tv screen when the tv is on. it has letters that change from 'D' to 'X'. and a long rectangle that has abt 5 or 6 numbers in it. they are inside the screen. they are not stuck to the screen.

i've got enuff sence to know a sticker stuck on the screen.

I bet closed captioning is on, but the channel/show doesn't have captioning, so it's just showing a blank or a near-blank caption.
