Philip Seymour Hoffman, dead at 46 years old.

Sadly, I just read about it. He was a great talent and I enjoyed most or all of his movies and acting which I've seen. He leaves behind a 10-yr-old (boy, I believe).

As reported in NT Times, he had a history substance-abuse problems...and had been in rehab within the last year after 23 yrs of sobriety .

I will always remember him from his role in Flawless - the film he made some time ago with Robert de Niro. Brilliant actor. So sad.

When I looked at up on IMDB.com I got this answer: Seymour played the character named Brandt.
