And while you're about it:

What is Australia's highest mountain inclusive of its territories?

Not sure I understand your question. Australia has 5 mainland states and 2 territories. Australian Capital Territory, normally referred to as the ACT, and The Northern Territory. The states are New South Wales (NSW), Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, and Western Australia. The island state is Tasmania. The highest mountain in Oz is Mount Kosciuszko.

@cherrie,
Best you do a quick whip round the Oodnadatta ladies lounge, stump up your bets, then google and report back. The answers are incorrect.

@nacredambition,
Well I'll be buggered.
I have never heard of Jervis Bay Territory, and I suspect very few other people have either.
Mawson Peak on Heard Island is the highest mountain, including external territories.
I'll just go back into the ladies lounge now and have another drink.

@cherrie,
Yeah, ya coulda knocked me down with arf a brick too.

I'm as flash as a rat with a gold tooth what with it being Satdy night.

Perhaps I could buy you a shandy and a mystery bag and we could have a night on the tiles discussing cruciverbalism.

If you knew the answer, then why did you ask the question in the first place?

Think of it as a trivia question Wilso.

It was my gift to cherrie, I noticed her reference to the territory question on another thread, but I'm glad you got to strut your stuff too.

Don't know about that. I've been to Jervis Bay territory (a number of times), but most people think it's part of the ACT. Didn't know it was it's own territory.
