What Food Do Construction Workers Eat?

My grandpa was a construction worker for over fifty years. What did he eat? Whatever my grandma cooked for him. Oatmeal for breakfast. A hearty samwich for lunch. Chicken soup. chopped lived, and brisket for dinner.

The question sort of suggests that all construction workers eat the same things. Therefore, we have to assume that they are all kosher. No PORK!

@Roberta,
But this cannot be!

Yesterday, after hiding on the construction site for twelve hours, I finally caught a glimpse of handsome bobcat driver through my binoculars. I waved and he showed me his bratwurst!

I'm sure it was a bratwurst....

@Roberta,
But wait - tacos and burritos oft have pork. Got to to say, some taco trucks are really good. But also mariscos...

@ossobuco,
Lordy, Bratwurst, schmatwurst. It was a Hebrew National frankfurter. You may be good at spotting handsome bobcot drivers, but you're not so hot with hot dog spotting.

osso, Taco schmaco and burrito schmurito. They were very crispy kreplach.

@Roberta,
Funny you brought that up. I used to go out with an exotic dancer named Krispy Kreplach. She had nice buns but she often got passed-over for parts on the chorus line.

Just an aside.....does anyone else, after reading a Sturgis post when he's on form, find themselves still chuckling half an hour later?

I do, and in fact I laugh after reading you. Hiding behind a chair made me laugh out loud. There are now 3 threads about construction workers, well if I count this one that would be 4.

@glitterbag,
I commented on this, I didn't create this thread. What are you talking about 4? Or are you talking to him, not myself? Oops. I am so fatigued.

They also drink Dunkin donuts coffee/beverages. Saw cups thrown all over the place.

@Equestrianforlife7xo,
I know you didn't create this thread, it's too much fun combined with no exasperation. Shouldn't you be planning for your rendezvous, you don't have time for this.

Him? Who's that? Something the cat dragged in?

For several weeks now, I have been sounding more and more like my mother.

WILL YOU CLOSE THAT BLOODY DOOR!

Now, where did I leave my knitting?

@Equestrianforlife7xo,
That's why I started this thread. If you really get to know what a construction worker eats, all things will become clear.

@Lordyaswas,
That's great of you. Oh, might as well add beer cans before anybody else does. 😚

You're welcome, ponygirl. You may now leave the temple.

Well, it's 11pm here in wet and windy London, and I'm off to beddybyes.

Nighty night all.

@Lordyaswas,
Sounding more like your mother.. Hmm. It would matter most based on how old you are. May I ask how old you are?

You also may want to add "Construction worker lingo" that would be of help, too.
