There is no visual of a video when I paste/post this link. any link. I've noticed others are able. to make a visual appear. with the link they post.

you have to use [youtube] tags.

You seem to have got it, here's a recap-

1- Go to a vid in youtube
2- Right-click on it
3- left-click on 'Copy video URL'
4- Go to A2K to write a post.
5- right-click on the post page and left-click 'Paste'
6- hold down the left mouse button and scan the mouse across the code to highlight it
7- left-click 'Quote'
8- delete the two words that say 'quote' and replace them with two 'youtube' words
9- post your post
10 - have a cup of tea
