I was not referring to you. If you wanted to weigh in, that is okay. But the Chinese text you've typed out here is too simple. How about a line of any Tang Dynasty poem and a little of your comment on the line?

Timur's always cool-minded.
But I don't see she's qualified to write a poem. Moreover, she's misread my message (or her poor understanding of English has led to the misunderstanding). I said "a line of any Tang Dynasty poem" - certainly no one in today's world can write a Tang Dynasty poem - one has to quote it that was written during that era.

我觉得在我的语境中，傻并不是代表说他真的不好啊，同学朋友之间开玩笑经常说：“你好傻啊”之类的，英语不是也说Don‘t be silly之类的吗？难道傻这个词在外国人听来很严重？

if in english , one has to quote it , otherwise it'll mean one has to be a person from like a thousand years ago, then i really m "poor understanding of English ", that's why i m here honestly wanna make friends with some native speaker to exchange language with.

Most of the frequent posters on A2K are not teenagers anymore.

I don't know about them but I guess, like me, that they are not used to the subtle intricacies and different meanings of the daily language of adolescents.

As so, I take that when you call someone stupid, it's what you mean.

It can be perceived as an offense.

I can be wrong though.

However, I welcome you to A2K. If I can be of any help, I'm here for you.

Thank you for your help first. But to be clear, I think the misunderstanding is just because the cultural and language difference. If there is any offence, i apologize and i didn't mean to. "stupid" is too serious for what i want to express. Thank you again and i will be careful with my expression from now on.
