When the QB is Spiking The Ball he is inside the takle box and the ball does not cross the line of scrimmage. Why is this not Intentional Grounding?

Is he spiking the ball in order to avoid being sacked?

Then it's not intentional grounding:

Intentional grounding will be called when a passer, facing an imminent loss of yardage due to pressure from the defense, throws a forward pass without a realistic chance of completion.
