Oh man. Forgot about this. I sold them. I realized I had gotten myself into a situation that I had no business being involved in. I did however double my money, so I guess I got out on top..

Thank-you. I'd kill for an airstream. OK, not really kill anyone, maybe a room full of mosquitoes.

Ha! nope. A Vietnamese man brought one, he fixes them for a living. He bought the pop up. He and his kids left it parked here for a week or so, until they got it running. It was a joyous day when the engine turned over. A bunch of spoiled rich kids bought the hard top.

Since I'm not sure, if there's another Volkswagen thread ...

This is the model car of the year 2014 in Germany, a car carrier trailer.

Those cars on the VW are Kleinschnittgers. (Produced a couple of miles away from where I live - the license plates are still those from the British Zone (BR= British Rhineland, later just R [there was no BW/R for Westphalia]), so the photo is pre-1956.

Just heard the word that VW are going to start making the iconic Camper Van again.

This time it will be electric, with batteries stored under the floor of the living quarters.

Apparently it will hold on to at least three keys features of the Camper that everyone recognises.

It will be interesting to see how things progress though, Walter.

It could change Camping charges (scuse the pun) a bit. Now, people get charged maybe a few quid for their site pitch plus electric hookup.
If these vans arrive and use £30 of electricity overnight as they re-charge, the site owners may have to be very vigilant and charge extra where necessary.
Maybe they will have to all get individual electricity meters or something, so they can pay by usage,

Great idea though.
