While you are only 20 years old you are carrying a lot of extra poundage. Have you checked with a doctor about losing weight.

The dizzy feeling could be an indication of heart trouble--or it could simply mean that you are terribly out of condition.

A hands on medical examination is the way to go.

Since your doctor has cleared you, your dizziness is probably a sign, not a symptom.

If you put your finger on a hot stove and it burned, you'd move your finger. If you find yourself getting dizzy, take a break. You have a lot of fat cells demanding oxygen and glucose and they may be grabbing some of the nourishment that your brain needs.

Or I may not know what I'm talking about.

Pause. Rest a few minutes. Resume excercise.

As you'll notice shortly, I posted your problem on the Virtual Diet thread.

Someone will know more than we do--and explain.

It maybe a sign you are pushing too hard.

ctrl- Welcome to A2K! Very Happy

You are carrying a lot of weight right now. I would suggest that you lay off the impact stuff until you drop some of the poundage. Don't even deal with adding muscle until some of that weight is off. Instead of jogging, speedwalk. If done correctly, you can burn a LOT of calories without stressing your feet and knees.

If you keep getting dizzy while exercising, your body is telling you something. I would suggest, that before you really start exercising in earnest, that you get a stress test. That test will determine if there are any heart problems.

I emphatically agree with Phoenix32890. You must be patient. In this case "you've got to walk before you run" is quite literally true.

Good luck!
