Enticing supplement I found at the health food store

Reply Wed 7 Apr, 2004 07:54 am
I've been feeling a bit lethargic lately, so I went to the health food store to ask if they a supplement that might help me. They suggested something I had never heard of, I think it was called 'Soylent Green.' Well, it did work, but now I'm afraid I'm becoming a 'people person'. What should I do? I begged my wife, the lovely Miss Anne Thropy to take the supplement too, but to no avail. Crying or Very sad It's not easy being green...

Did you read the nutritional label on that supplement, Cav? Is it high in carbs? Wink

Stop nibbling on Miss Anne's neck! She's starting to bleed!

I believe the supplement was high-protein, but Charlton Heston, who was serving me, refused to answer my inquiries.

I was beginning to wonder why the city bought so many front end loaders and trucks.

Hmmm. Good question, edgar. We don't get enough snow hereabouts to justify having them.

Also...we've got this huge "trash-to-energy" plant out past the city limits here and not even the people who work there know exactly how it works. (I know this because they keep flying in "consultants.") The official line is that they burn trash, but we're not so sure. They don't even accept most trash, yet the trucks keep coming and going. The city is always telling us the plant is going farther and farther into debt, but they have no plans to close it. Are you thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?

Yeah. Somebody goes to a lot of trouble to disguise the weekly crap game.

I was afraid it was something more sinister, edgar, but you may be right. Crap is definitely involved. Wink

Soylent green - there's two words I haven't heard in a long time...

I just checked the health food store again. Apparently, Soylent Green is not only "earth friendly", but also newly "Atkins approved"...I too am getting a bit suspicious.

While you were reading the label, cav, did you happen to note the name of the manufacturer? Did it come from Tulsa, Oklahoma?

Sadly Eva, it was sold in bulk, so no label was availible.

Hmmm. So it didn't say it DIDN'T come from Tulsa, right?

Were any toenail clippings found in the bag?

Squinney- There are some people who have a great impact on other people's lives, just by being themselves. Cav was one of them. It is just like he is here with us now! (sigh)
