Could anyone help with a Latin to English translation please

Hi all, could anyone tell me what this means, if anything at all.
I found it written at the back of an old book belonging to my grandfather.

"Magnum ipsum deificum
Ipsum glorifica
Opus dominus Sanctus"

I don't know if its meant to be one passage or separate lines

I can tell you what the words mean, but I'm having a hard time linking
them together grammatically.

Magnum -- great
ipsum -- itself
deificum -- deifying, making god-like

Ipsum -- itself
glorifica -- glorify (as a command)

Opus -- work (the noun)
dominus -- lord
Sanctus -- holy

Are you sure about the spelling?
Word endings make a big difference in Latin.

It's handwritten and a touch smudged, perhaps I have misspelt. Of course it may be the case that it doesn't actually mean anything at all. Many thanks for your help though.

It is a warning. It says: Books are the definition of glory when the definition of glory should be the holy, or God. "should be" is added, because the words actually say "when really", in reality the definition is God: on the glorification of books and their readers, and the wit involved-to God the glory and all that. 1950's I think. Magnum means books.
