@jwsibley,
If you had a photo of it from directly in front with no angle, Google image search might bring up something.

Date wise it's later than mid-century, the twin towers feature behind the Brooklyn Bridge and they were opened in 1973. Construction didn't start until 1968 and the topping out ceremony was in 1970.

@hingehead,
I knew that it could not be the original Marcel Duchamp but thought of a homonym..

@timur,
As far as I can tell Marcel Duchamp never painted the Brooklyn Bridge - so it's a fake fake.

Could be wrong but I keep failing to find anything about it in any reputable source.

@hingehead,
If anyone is interested, I've done some more research on this and determined that this is not a fake, but also not painted by Marcel Duchamp. The artist is H. Duchamp, who did a series of similar Brooklyn Bridge paintings. There have been several other H. Duchamp paintings with a similar style sold online over the years, but certainly not as notable as Marcel.

@jwsibley,
I am an owner of a H. Duchamp painting. Over the years I have tried to research this artist, but it's hard to find any info. I love his artwork.

It's posible that Marcel Duchamp painted the twin towers before they were completed as he was known to secretely paint without even his closest friends knowing about it. This could explain possibly why the buildings appear to be unfinished. (I think) This is not to say there are not any artists who wouldn't try to fake the real painting/paintings. However, an authentic painting signed by the artist Marcel Duchamp would most likely be priceless by now given that unfortunately the original twin towers no longer even exist.

I have a similar painting purchased at least 25 yrs ago signed just Duchamp with no twin towers in the background - this makes my painting at least 48 yrs old - if the fake artist is the same person he must have been at it for a few years - or do I have the original(tongue in cheek)
