People come here to get answers to their questions. OK with me.

They want to know who painted something, drew something, etched something. Sometimes they even remember to post a link so we can see what's been painted, drawn, or etched.

Her boyfriend hasn't texted her for at least ten minutes. Does he still love her?

His girlfriend texts him every ten minutes. Should he dump her?

People in abusive relationships. What should they do?

People not in any relationships. What should they do?

The questions go on, and I can see the reason why people reach out.

What I can't understand is why women ask us if they're pregnant. How the hell should we know. Go buy one of those pregnancy tests and find out.

Is there any reasonable reason why they ask us this? What am I missing?

I really do not understand it either.
My guess is that some people think that the only serious(?) conversation is over your PC or mobile phone. They have forgotten there are real people in their lifes.

I think they're probably just in a panic and aren't ready to talk to anyone they know so they Google "Could I be pregnant?" and end up here.

We should have a "Could I be pregnant?" FAQ it could say Q: "Are you a female who is having vaginal sex with a male? A: Yes, you could be pregnant!"

The young girls might be embarrassed to purchase a pregnancy test.

Also, if they are sitting at home at night stressing about the question, asking on the internet is probably a quicker way to engage the stress and get some feedback.

Those are just guesses, actually I have no idea what goes on in most people's heads, much less teenage girls.

I am now reminded of the person who kept asking us if her goldfish was pregnant. Lady, we don't know if your goldfish is pregnant. But I'm guessing that the fish is a slut. It could use some birth control education. Kondoms for koi.
