Is anyone else worried about the future of Tumblr and its new Yahoo! owners?

Yahoo confirms $1.1 billion Tumblr acquisition
The company said today that "substantially all" of the acquisition was payable in cash, and Tumblr will remain a separate entity.

It's a great internet cultural move for Yahoo. It's a great financial move for the founders/owners of Tumblr. But I'm not sure if the transaction is going to be good for the loyal users of the social networking site.

The prospects aren't good.

I used to use Yahoo! Calandar for text reminders, but they removed that option about a month ago with no forewarning.
