Kid in buggy with glasses and loot - Baby You're a Rich Man.

Man walking past shop with VAT forms flying everywhere - Taxman.

Two birds on window ledge - And Your Bird Can Sing. (I think)

I doubt that, because John did that solo after the group split up--and, of course, it wasn't written by anyone in the group.

As for the birds, let's just say it could be both.

@Setanta,
I've had second thoughts about the duck with a bag on its head, Polythene Pam?

You should see her in drag dressed in a polythene bag.

Nothing about her being a duck though.

I'm not sure what polythene equates to in American parlance--it looks like a bag of chips (crisps), though.

Just read this in the Birmingham Mail today......

http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/whats-on/music-nightlife-news/rutles-play-birmingham-town-hall-7033506

Snippet......

"Everybody (of a certain age) knows the story – it’s a rock and roll legend.

It’s the tale of four lovable cheeky moptops from Liverpool who discover their voice in Hamburg, come home to find fame and fortune, provoke fan hysteria and revolutionize pop music before splitting up amid tales of excess and girlfriend troubles.

It’s the history of the Prefab Four – The Rutles – Ron, Dirk, Stig and Barry, creators of timeless classics such as Cheese And Onions, I Must Be in Love, Piggy In The Middle and Let’s Be Natural.

Oh, wait – that’s almost the real story, but not quite.

Originally conceived as a quick TV sketch poking gentle fun at the legend of the Beatles and the fatuousness of rock documentaries, the story of The Rutles is one that truly does deserve that much over used label “stranger than fiction...........”.

Here's the 'Archaeology' Album that was quoted in the article. Some of the tracks are surprisingly good. All of them are tongue in cheek though.

Sample......

Joe Public...
