neko's gardens have come a long way in two years

I'm still besotted with the iris, ebeth. This year I mail-ordered three each of three Dykes Medal-awarded cultivars:

The ones I set out are still about a year from blooming.

If you check out the pics at the Historic Iris Preservation Society website you can understand how easily iris fever can be contracted.

I'm a big fan or irises as well, Neko.

Years ago, a friend of hamburger cultivated some wonderful sort of beige-y creamy irises. They were my favourite thing in hamburger's garden in the days he was still into formal flower beds and lawns.
