I love anime and manga, and I was wondering why it had become so popular. Why do you like manga and anime?

What's wrong with that? Maybe I don't understand the definition of anime.

I'm not in it for the cartoon women. I'm in it for the action. Also I kind of like violence.

Manga are Japanese comics. I believe that's what the word "manga" even translates to.

I have a message board that focuses on anime and manga: http://pb.exocrew.com/haruko/

If you rent "Ani - Matrix", you'll get the history of it at least a bit of it.

I know that one of the first manga/anime was "Astro Boy" but I don't remember when, plus it tell's you a lot more!

I love it because of the action and all the sci-fi - I just saw Armitage: Matrix III & Armitage: Dual Matrix - Twisted Evil

I knew about manga for many years but finally tried it last year and liked it. Made the mistake of pronuncing it man- ja instead of man- guh. People thought I was reading italian cooking.

Eat, Eat!

I am not a fan of the genre as a whole, but it has some sparke in there. I'm particularly fond of FLCL and Princess Mononoke. Right now I'm starting to watch ghost in the shell, but my boyfriend won't let me watch all of it because I am particularly prone to sadness absorbtion. (The little soulless machines make me cry. You heard me. )
