Its much worse than that,(but in US they monitor your doses) they use cyanide to extract the gold from teeny almost molecular levels, then they use the arsenic and mercury to make amalgams. Then they burn it off releasing arsenical mercuric oxide (super deadly). Thats why so many Brazilian gold miners would go nuts or die

Looks like most of the NH Gold is up in the north country in Grafton County. That's a long drive from here. If I had the time to spare it might be fun to pan for some... if I had the time Wink
