I'm not receiving contact requests on Skype !!!

Hey everyone !

So, I signed up to Skype a few weeks ago, and some friends tried to add me since but it's not working ! I don't have that notifications bar that says "contact request" nor do I get any other kind of notification that somebody wanna add me...

Problem is, it mostly works when I add someone but never the other way around.. I mean, could it be this new version or something ??!!

Please if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.
