Let's see if we can get a group together in late July for an Antarctica gathering. I was thinking of setting up a tent on the ice shelf between Marie Byrd Land and Victoria Land.
Maybe some hot chocolate, hot dogs, and quite possibly, but I haven't committed to this yet... caramel corn.
I'm looking forward to a great time on the ice cap and look forward to seeing all A2Kers who are willing to make the trip.
Ceili and littlek have agreed to dance for the crowd.
Occom Bill will be bringing a deck of playing cards.

I'll be there but...I heard a story on NPR this evening that the gas emitted when opening bags of microwaved popcorn may be toxic. Something about the ingrediant called "butter substitute." I kid you not.
So if you were planning on running a very long extension cord, forget it. Or else I'm not coming.

July in Antartica is -100 C, and it's dark the whole time. I just got outta the damn deep freeze and I going back in again till next year. You can't make me, I'm not going.

I do not like winter.
But it may be a good "idea" when you are in July in the northern hemispere.
I don't think it's getting any warmer up there... well, not in any substantial way. So we might as well have the party now. We should have a talent show too. There's no point in getting together if we aren't going to compete for attention. We're not going to have a fire, are we? I just read that they let of toxic fumes. No joke.

Gus, if it's any weight off your back, I can supply the caramel corn. I still have a huge batch of Scoates' Special Christmas Caramel Corn (with and without almonds) going to waste from the holidays (I actually made the bacth around thanksgiving). They are already rolled into portion-sized balls, and wrapped in red and green plastic wrap, topped of with a grinning picture of yours truly, on each ball.
Did you see where Tonya Harding is going to play pro ice hockey now? I think she would be a fascinating guest speaker.
