Who should star in Calico Joe?

I like baseball so I read Joe Calico - actually I am down to the few pages. But found out that they are going to make this into a movie (ok what Grisham book hasn't been) - but this is slightly different as no lawyers are involved.

For those that have read this who do you think should star or have a part as one of the characters in the book? (for fun you can slate both famous actors or our own celebrity A2kers).
