Before I forget to post; I'll be gone from March 25 till April 5 to Japan with my better half. And FYI, we're having our A2K San Francisco Gathering from April 9 through 12. Want to see all of you there! Please let me know how many of you are planning to be there; dates, hotel, and special interests. Thx, c.i.

c.i.
I'm thinking of trying to make it. I will stay with my children and friends in the area and just meet up with A2Ks for gatherings.

Pie, If I'm a muse, then how come you don't write some poetry for us?

Walter, my friend. You are always missed. You can't go a mile without being amiss. Smile Did you bring any Vienna sausage back with you. (yuk)

Oi!

This is a poetry thread...

You are supposed to say

For nostalgia
I'm off to Austria
For Wien
I pine.

or something like that. Is that not the case letty?

Mais Oui, Steverino.

We all let each other know,
Just when we come and go.
The cat burglar's trace,
And in Walter's case,
It's Gautam whose Indian waters flow.

And, Gautam ain't Thames-id..lol

Positively surreal.

I've been called steverino before
So now I'm off to find out more

Who is this bloke, and why a name
So similar to what is mane?

Very Happy Smile Exactly one million years ago today,
The Tonight Show began to hold sway.
Steve Allen began it,
With some famous tenants,
Louis Nye, Don Knotts, and Gorme.

Hi, ho, Steverino.

My heart lies back where Indian waters flow.
In far off India.

Ah, Gautam. Don't you know,
No one's heart lies by the Thames, tis so.

Ahhh, Tis truth you speak oh nightingale,
Before your logic all my arguments pale,
But allow me to say, if I may so,
my heart is not where the Indian waters flow,
I gave it away once, many moons ago,
I forgot to take it back, when he went back down below,
So now I exist as a heartless soul,
Incomplete inside, though the outside is whole,
Maybe one day someone will give a heart to me,
And I will take it back to my home, my country
Your words will come true then my sweet friend,
Till then, pray my life will have a happy end.

Fair maiden thanks
I wondered who
Practised television pranks

And now my very username
to Steverino will be changed
But when I went to profile page
It can't be done says counsel sage

Forsooth it is a devilish thing
No matter how the keyboard wring
I'm stuck with Steve (as 41oo)
And rhyme with that is not easy to do

Poor Gautam's heart has many tokens
But better that than waters broken.

Interesting, C.I. Just found out that Jester Harrison wrote the lyrics to "Amen" in the movie Lilies of the Field. He also did the singing for Sidney Poitier. Don't know who did the dubbin' for the nuns. Whoopi Goldberg, I suspect. Smile

Gautam, that was beautiful. I won't even attempt repartee in poetree.
