There are several commercially available pH test kits available. Inexpensive colormetric kits can be found at pool and/or garden supply stores including the big box outlets like WalMart. Home Depot and Lowes. If you are going to be doing this a lot, electronic pH meters are available for less than $100. I have seen them periodically at Harbor Freight.
