Noddy is pretty puny today.

I talked to Mr. Noddy's Visiting Nurse this morning and she feels that he could stay alone (and be checked on by friends and family) if I go to the hospital again.

This is a great comfort. I'm terribly tired and for a little TLC would be willing to put up with a television-addicted roommate.

Perhaps this next time, I'll be more organized.

TLC for you sounds damn fine to me.

Noddy, perhaps you could keep a small suitcase packed and at the ready just in case.

Yup. When a hospital stay with a TV addicted roomy looks good, it's probably time to go. But with all the proper amenities of course. Sending hugs and at least virtual TLC to Noddy.

There's something to be said to having a get-away bag packed and ready to go.

<nods>

books
cheese crackers
ear plugs
sleep mask
comfy jammies and socks
maybe a little ipod with Noddy music

As soon as I organize Mr. Noddy's emergency contact telephone numbers; the dog's pills; and my overnight bag, I'm calling the ambulance.

I'm very tired of being tired.

Oh dear Noddy.. I hope you get rest. I hope you get answers to solving your health issues and I hope you get some much needed peace and quiet.

As I share space with my best howling friend, you will have a candle on our table..

Mental Decline
How about a couple of Jane Austen novels? And have you a Walkman or CD player - a couple of tapes or CDs might be good when you're between rests.

Anyway - good luck in the hospital - put all your energies into doing nothing energetic.

We'll be thinking of you a lot.

Izzie- Thanks for asking. I have been in the house since last Friday. I don't have any more fever, but I am still a bit congested, and am tired, although I have been able to do a bit in the house for the last two days.

I don't know what I had, but it sure was a stinkeroo!
