@davidpile,
What happened?
Did the server crash?
And what are the remedies you have tried?

I suspect a fragmentation problem.... have you tried defragging the database?
Do you have backup/ rollback plans?

I've worked on Microsoft's exchange Server 2010, which one are you using?

(I need more information to know whether I can help you out.)

@davidpile,
Hello Friends,

Yes, there is a tool named Lepide Exchange Recovery Manager which can successfully recover all your data but before using it first you have to have a back up of all your Priv1.EDB files. The tool not only recover your Priv1.EDB files but also repairs your corrupt EDB files. This tool also has the ability to convert your private or public EDB files to PST, MSG, EML or Live exchange formats. It is impossible to mount edb file directly. If you want to recover database, you should have edb file and log file (stm,chk,etc). You just have edb file now. It is very difficult and it will cost a lot of time. We don’t know whether it is in clean shutdown status. Use Microsoft's ExMerge utility to mount the *.edb and extract whatever emails you want into a pst file. You can then manually import the emails from the pst into your public folder.

Thanks and Regards,
Duncan Jones

@roseasp,
it can't repair corrupt EDB files, so there is no point in downloading a Kernel for Exchange EDB Viewer

@davidpile,
Hello Members,

I think that you should go in for the third party tool which has the ability to repair and recover in your corrupt EDB files and then importing these files to the PST, EML, MSG or Live Exchange format. There are many third party tools which are available for doing this task in the market like Lepide Exchange Recovery Manager, Lucid Digiscope etc. Before that make sure that you have a good backup like NT backup.

Best Regards,

Hey! Have you tried ISINTEG and ESEUTIL to repair corrupt EDB files.These tools work great and the best thing is that they are available free of cost.
To know more visit:"http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa996436%28v=exchg.65%29.aspx"

By following the above guidelines you can easily recover the corrupt exchange database by following a few simple steps. if the problem still persists then you can try third party stellar phoenix exchange server recovery. Software repair highly corrupted exchange mailboxes and convert into new PST file without any loss of original database.
