Unarmed Victim Perishes. -- It seems unfair.

Shortly after chaining her pet Chihuahua outside her home in Victoria,
Texas, a woman noticed a stray pit bull attacking her pet.
When the woman tried to intervene, the pit bull charged her,
forcing her into the house. Once inside, the woman notified her son,
who retrieved a shotgun and attempted to save the small dog.

When the pit bull charged the son, he fired, killing the stray.

The woman and her son were not harmed during the incident;
however, the Chihuahua did not survive.
