"I'll be back."
Ti...how could I have forgotten that.
I always use the accent when using it...(my guess is almost everybody does!)
And you look so much like the guy who delivered the line!
Truly one of the most chilling lines ever delivered.
A misquote...but I use it often:
"Batches...we don need no stinkin' batches!"
"We must be cautious."
From the longer line: "Mos Eisley spaceport: You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. We must be cautious."
I often find myself saying, "Houston, we have a problem," when something goes wrong--from the movie, Apollo 13
My late great Dad used to lose it when I said "What's a Ute?"
"Stupid is as stupid does" - also from Forrest Gump
"Life is like a box of chocolates"
to which I usually add
"Someone else has already eaten the good ones."
Almost everybody says "We don't need no steenking" this or the other. Taken from the movie of B Traven's The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. The actual words are, I think:
"Badges? We ain't got no badges! We don't need no badges! I don't have to show you any stinking badges!"
"I'm walking here."
Ratso from Midnight Cowboy.
Or, "Walmart sucks."
The line was later repeated in Blazing Saddles and of course by Belushi on SNL.
I'm dyin ovah heah!
Remember that one?
"That's not a knife."
[As he pulls out a large bowie knife]
"THAT's a knife."
What we have here is a failure to communicate." Cool Hand Luke
"I'll have what she's having!" When Harry Met Sally
The Girl: You know why the sky is blue?
Boyfriend: Because the reflection from the sunshine causes...
The Girl: Wrong! It's to make me happy. I wanted it to be blue, so it's blue. You know why fire is hot? It's all for me. I wanted it to be hot, so it's hot.
--from the Korean movie "My Sassy Girl"
Three of my favorites, especially because the latter two were favorites of my mother . . . use the first two frequently, the last one, not much chance to unless it's simply a huge nonsequitur...
"Screws fall out all the time, the world is an imperfect place." -- The Breakfast Club
"Life is a banquet and most poor suckers are starving to death!" -- Auntie Mame
"Does your dog bite?" and of course following the antics, the response being "That is not my dog." -- The Pink Panther Strikes Again
...was on last night. what a great book and movie.
