It's sad how many more people like Chinese food than Chinese guys.
should this rather be "It's sad how many more people like Chinese food than like Chinese guys."?
and why?

The second is correct because the first implies that more non-Chinese like Chinese food than the Chinese themselves.

The first statement is not true because what we in America consider Chinese food is no where near what actually Chinese food is like in the mother land of china. Neither is the second statement true studies actually show that Chinese men are among most desired by woman because they are seen as good business and family men.
