WHAT MADE YOU GRIMACE & GRIT YOUR TEETH TODAY?

No, my family has been in America since before the revolution...my ancestor left Scotland and settled in Ireland, then when his sons became old enough they finished the journey, and arrived on these shores in the 1740's....the family name is known {perhaps only to historical scholars} pertaining to Washington's crossing of the Deleware, shortly before the battle of Trenton.

I myself, am what the world calls a redneck....of the Missouri variety.

-----------

I found a hole in my favorite long coat...seems a moth had a nice snack...much grimacing and gritting of my teeth did occur....and little stories, such as the one above, spring from these instances.

There is more to the story....

My computer was being finicky (scanning showed no real reason for it.....), so I went to watch TV. Five minutes before the end of The Next Iron Chef, the TV started making loud noises and the screen went gray. Soon after I shut it off, the smell of burnt electronics reached my nose. Great.

HI!

I have a big TV (came free with furniture) -- but noone to watch it with (or no cable for that matter but since I don't watch, I don't need it much).

When are you coming to visit? I am already itching for travel, MUST scrape some money together for the winter, maybe January or February inbetween semesters.
Hnhhh, this shouldda been an email, eh? Oh well. Hi everybody else, too!

Hi!

I dunno when I'm coming to visit. How long would the trip take by boat? And, when will you catch up with your alter ego in NYC?

Oh bugger. TVs are absolutely essential for watching great movies on DVD! I'm sorry that you're going to miss out for a while (till/when you get another.)

As for the car, so long as it gets you from A to B without causing you too much grief, or cost .....?

Commiserations, k.
These stupid things can eat up one's limited finances, can't they? Sad

My car over-heated and is clearly not able to be driven until it is fixed.

I am broke.

I had a HORRIBLE day at work.

My neck hurts and I have a disgusting headache.

Things fine otherwise.

I drove my little rented, electric car into a door frame of an aviary
inside the San Diego Zoo, as I was trying to find my way to its restaurant for lunch;
(it has good halibut n good caramelized apple pie a la mode). That zoo has bad signing.

I failed to notice that my left knee was exposed n vulnerable (until the collision); it hurt.

Still, the little car is a good deal for $35 a day.
That 's the same price as Disneyworld.
I was never a big hiker.

Aw, poor bunny.
Too many woes for just one day.
Put your feet up & here's a nice glass of chilled white for you.
Enjoy!

It's but a short walk, right? And through a gorgeous park, if I recall rightly. And it's spring in Adelaide would be lovely right now! Smile

Walking is good exercise for your back? ( hope so!)

So how long will it take for your car to be fixed? (I won't ask about the cost cost. You can G + G about that later! Wink ) I imagine this will make it difficult to get to some of your "on site" consultations?
