How do u live in the present without compromising the future?

...well I don´t know, it can be argued either away...those who are more aware or prepared on what the future might or will bring, and some of it is not good no matter how well you prepare yourself, live the present to the full without being a fool...that is, they are able to appreciate small stuff and what they have in everyday life because they somehow intuit is not little...most important things tend to be invisibly simple...sometimes we take a lifetime to realise that...

I think that those who say 'live in the present' are encouraging 'mindfulness of the present.' That's how we learn. Then, as the days pass, we can constantly collect the wisdom needed to take us into the future.

There is nothing wrong with visualizing a future, planning for it. But we must process today in order to get there wisely.

Life to me is about balance - living in the present, while learning from the past, and considering the future. ALL life happens in the present, so it is good to give your full attention to it - and that doesn't mean that you can't be fully present while planning for the future. It doesn't mean you can't be fully present while recalling the past for the purpose of applying it to the here & now.

Its very important that you keep seperate time for fun activities .During studying time or working time , just focus at whats in front of you .

Yes , we live in present but present is a stair for future and tomorrow we have to live in it therefore we have to look at that stair and see where we will step.

Make certain that your planning and preparing for the future makes for an enjoyable present. Don't get a job you hate and justify it with thoughts about how much better it will be in the future. On the flip side, don't just let everything slide while you enjoy the breeze. Just find the balance. Plan ahead, but make the planning enjoyable.
