Does anyone know when the roundtable will be back in operation? I've been notified of problems by three other members, so it's not a problem on my end. Thanks

Yes. She said it was being worked on. Was wondering when it would be back.

Y'know... Roger's avatar is close enough to a hamster. Put him to work, Craven.

Oh! I hadnt noticed, but its true, its gone. Oy.

Even should it not be technically feasible to bring it back for some reason, I hope somehow the threads that existed thus far can be accessed once more some time! I would love to save a few to HD - there was some really good discussion and I put a bunch of info there that I wouldnt like to lose ... (I have this annoying habit of using threads as a kind of "archive" to store interesting reports, links etc on ...)

If the problem“s got something to do with the closed status of the forum, I'd personally rather have it be publicly available, than than not available at all anymore ...

This is the change I am working on. I'm surprised at the surprise. This has been discussed, voted on and agreed to by RT members months ago and was a featured thread on the forum. <shrugs>

It's a closed forum for the Conservative-oriented members of A2K, Husker ... I'm the resident jester there <winks>.

It was created out of a desire for a more friendly environment within A2K, where conservatives could reflect without having to hoist themselves in the harness, so to say. There used to be one for Progressives, too, PUP.

The plan is to bring The Roundtable, among other previously "Closed" forums, onto the public boards, and, eventually, to sort out, organize, open, and promote a semi-closed forum, The Debate Room. CdK has a life outside A2K, and is working on thie planned changes as quickly as he is able. Just be patient, it'll happen, and most folks will be pleased. Of course, some won't be, but then, that's part of the fun, isn't it?

Has The Roundtable now been abolished?

I do remember some discussion in the group about whether it should be made publicly viewable -- I remember Sofia was against it, but from what Craven wrote above I guess the actual vote in the end was for it -- don't remember that, myself. But I didnt think it would actually be broken up?

Reason I ask is that I noticed some Roundtable threads are now simply filed as regular Politics threads.
