I have a friend who has a most peculiar ability. You can tell her any sentence, such as The horse galloped across the open plain and tripped on a tree branch and she will, quick as a wink, write the sentence on a piece of paper, right to left, and backwards. You then hold the paper up to a mirror and see a beautifully written, perfect sentence.

Has anyone ever heard of this? Or do you know someone who has that ability? I've heard of people that can do mirror writing, but they generally write left to right, and I believe this can be taught.

But with my friend it's just some sort of weird mental process that comes completely naturally to her.

It's one of the most baffling things I've ever seen.

LOL! Just put a pen in your left hand and write without thinking, Gus - I find doing so results in mirror writing - not elegant, but as legible as my normal writing...

If that's true, Dlowan, you're in the minority.

It can be learned, I can do it poorly but I have to think to do it, it does not come effortlessly

But that's the thing, Acquiunk, she doesn't even think about it; it's just something that came naturally. No practice, ever.

Not thinking is the key - just relax and ANYONE can do it, I believe...

I have a friend who can mimick?? anyones writing. She watches as you write and copies it perfectly, stroke for stroke.
It's interesting how some peoples brains work.

My sister-in-law can write simultaneously with both hands. Backwards with her left, and of course, forward with her right, in beautiful cursive. It is quite amazing to watch.
