You hippies know the song, the one that starts "Jeremiah was a bullfrog...", can someone tell me who sang it?

Edit: 'bullfrong' typos removed. Happy Seal?

...was a good friend of mine,
Never understood a single word he said,
But we sure had a very fine time (I think)

Joy to the world,
All the boys and girls now.
Joy to the fishes in the deep blue sea.
Joy to you and me...

You know I love the ladies...................

You be welcome, Craven. I liked that group.

That's from the Broadway play, Hair. The Fifth Dimension, a singing group also covered it and had a hit single.

Thanks, I know it from the film Hair and from Forrest Gump and I think that be them.

One thing, on the Gump soundtrack two separate songs are listed. One is Aquarius and the other Let teh Sunshine In.

Are they separate songs or both Age of Aquarius?

From Memorie:

When the moon is in the seventh house
And Jupiter's aligned with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars

This is the dawnig of the Age of Aquarius
Age of Aquarias
Age of Aq;uari0-aa-aa-a
Aquiarias!

Harmony and understanding
Sympathy and trust abounding
No more falsehoods or derisions
Golden dreams of living visions
Mystic Crystal revalation
And the mind through libereration
Aquariaaaas! Aquarias!!!!

Let the sunshine
Let the sunshine in
The su-un shine in!

God, am I feeling old.
They are two different songs from the musical,

(which I saw once in {gulp -- 1969? 1970? there was a lot of pot going on, not many details left}

the movie did all kinds of things to the 'book' of the musical, but I can't remember, did they combine the songs in the movie?

Don't remember much about the movie, but the original cast recording is tatooed into my brain.

I'm pretty sure that Aquarius and Let the Sun Shine In were separate songs in the musical. But The 5th Dimension recorded them together, and that's how most people know the songs.
