Not a brilliant title, but I wanted to make a thread where people can list thinkers they find original in today's intellectual climate. I wanted to get away from the ones already cannonised and perhaps try and list people not every A2k-er would have heard of (Einstein/Barthes/Sontag and the like). These can be academics, journalists, tv personalities, anyone.
Well this thread fell flat on it's face didn't it.
Which might indicate that there are no original thinkers out there today; or, perhaps it means there isn't an intellectual climate out there.
Maybe even both are true.
I've kept watching this thread but I haven't nominated anyone because I tend to like/admire particular ideas - but that doesn't mean I admire all the ideas of the originator.
But don't give up PQ - I'm interested to see what people admire.
