Just re-watched Labyrinth. Some thoughts:
Has anyone else noticed how much Brian Froud's goblins resemble the figures from Breughel the Elder's paintings? In adddion, the similarity between the labyrinth before the goblin city's similarity to his painting of "Mad Meg?"
Also, it seems related to early medieval descent into hell stories, not surpising considering Terry Jones wrote the script!
Also, The Fasustian echoes seem incredible.
Haven't seen it in many years... but I remember being dissapointed that the movie dissapeared without a trace...
