@Region Philbis,
Roberta already said it was solved:
Quote:
First, the mystery is solved. I got a message from the person who called.

Assuming that message being a private message and she's rightfully keeping the identity classified.

@tsarstepan,

(unless it was a voice message... though telemarketers usually don't leave them)

Not a telemarketer. Someone I know who's voice is unfamiliar.

Do telemarketers call to tell you to watch PBS shows about cheetahs?

THE MYSTERY IS SOLVED.

And it wasn't Roger. It was someone who knows I like cheetahs.

C'est tout.

@OmSigDAVID,
It wasn't me either, and Roberta knows my voice already; well, likely not immediately, as it has been a while, but I'm guessing it would be familiar.

Voices are so interesting. Maybe a sore subject for you, Roberta. I bet you still sound like yourself but different.

@ossobuco,
osso, It's been a long time. I don't know if I would recognize your voice.

I don't know how I sound from the outside. I only hear me from the inside. Certainly my accent, inflection, and manner of speech of the same. But the sound is gravelly, scratchy, and occasionally barely audible.

@Roberta,
I think we wouldn't just recognize each other's voices. But perhaps be attuned.

I'm stopping this as it sounds like blather. (Not re you)

You were in the pet shop the other day. You were in the next row. I was buying cat food, and you were buying huge doggie doors and telling people all about your dogs.

When I got to the counter you were still there. I nearly said hello, but I figured since you were wearing a disguise you wanted to be incognito.

I was a little hurt that you didn't tell me you were in Adelaide, but I figured you must be undercover.

@dlowan,
Bunny--If I was in Adelaide, you would know. Somebody is walking around sounding like me? Somebody's got a noive.

@Roberta,
I very nearly gave them a hug and took them home to meet the woollies!

@dlowan,
If Iwas in Adelaide, I'd be hanging with the woollies.

@Roberta,
Is your mystery phone call from someone wanting to speak with Peggy? If that's the case, you've got my mystery phone call from a few years ago.
