VITAMINS
c. i. : the bread we usually eat is quite different from the usual whole grain bread. it is quite dense and some of our canadian friends think it must have a lot of calories because it is so dense and heavy. it actually has fewer calories than regular bread since it contains the whole grains (a lot of roughage). not everyone likes it and the digestive system needs some time to adjust to it. it is not very good for toasting, but if you keep it in the fridge it can be heated/toasted. in ontario most of the supermarkets carry it now; even canadians are beginning to like and serve it (particularly for fancy, european food parties). if you are interested you can find some information here >>> VOLLKORN-BROT hbg

"Scientists have found vitamins E and C may protect the ageing brain - but only if taken together."

(For this, multi-vitamins, without hight doses of VE and VC, are said to be insufficient.)

From that BBC-link:

Quote:
"It may be difficult to find populations outside the US taking equivalent doses on a regular basis to verify this evidence."
