I want to know that the list of connecting link either in botany or in zoology. like platypus is connecting link b/w animal & mammals.

Linnaean Classification (taxonomy) of living things is pretty basic.

Here's a Wiki on Classification that's pretty good unless the Sarah Palin Wiki re-writers of history and science have attacked.

The animal kingdom has 7 levels of classification, (BTW platypus is a mammal)--Botany uses a different taxonomy.

Linnaean taxonomy of Duck Billed Platypus
Kingdom:Animalia
Phylum:Chordata
Class:Mammalia
Order:Monotremata
Family:Ornithorhynchidae
Genus:Ornithorhynchus (Blumenbach, 1800)
Species:O. anatinus
