@parados,
How is a Public integrity Unit different than an ethics panel? Sounds like you are playing word games again Parados.

An ethics panel is a legislative committee that has no power to prosecute anyone. It's greatest power is to expel a legislator. It can be political in nature and there is no legal appeal to its decisions. (edit - The panel suggests action to the entire legislative body which has the power to expel a legislator.)

A Public Integrity Unit is a prosecutorial unit that can impanel grand juries, charge persons with crimes, and prosecute them. It is required to follow the law. All its actions can be appealed to a court of law.

If a DA is convicted of a felony they almost automatically lose their law license and would have to leave the job. Lembaugh was convicted of a misdemeanor. She will have to face the voters for removal but she has decided to not stand for reelection. Did she act badly? Yes. Was it enough to legally require her to leave office? No.

There are numerous examples on "Google" of the GOP and their underhanded ties to dirty energy.

Can you answer me this? How is this NOT the GOP's fault?

Yes, you do.
The article you posted said the spill was caused by human error, someone opened the wrong valve.

Please explain how that was the fault of the GOP.

Because more government regulation would have stipulated that two people "double check" the valve's position...

Ask your pharmacist to double check before giving you your meds... Smile (just kidding)

You wouldn't want your pharmacist to "accidentally" give you one of those err, contraceptives instead of those blood pressure pills.... Smile

What double check means is for every single measurement you take you have to go back and measure it a second time.

One time I had to count a bunch of mat boards, I had a pad and a pencil, and each time I counted them I got a different number. So it wrote it down, I kept counting them and getting a different number.

Finally someone else had to count them.

@RexRed,
Why don't they already have a rule on the "double check"? It's not as if the EPA was just founded last week, they have been around for over 30 years.

You are reaching for straws on this one. It's weak.

I think it was Reagan who first started suspending a lot of "rules"...

That makes it sound like you can't count if you came up with a different # each time. No wonder you required a double check.
