Sharyl Attkisson Has Some Questions for the IRS

Quote:
Reporter Sharyl Attkisson has some questions for the IRS along those lines.

Please provide a timeline of the crash and documentation covering when it was first discovered and by whom; when, how and by whom it was learned that materials were lost; the official documentation reporting the crash and federal data loss; documentation reflecting all attempts to recover the materials; and the remediation records documenting the fix. This material should include the names of all officials and technicians involved, as well as all internal communications about the matter.
Please provide all documents and emails that refer to the crash from the time that it happened through the IRS’ disclosure to Congress Friday that it had occurred.
Please provide the documents that show the computer crash and lost data were appropriately reported to the required entities including any contractor servicing the IRS. If the incident was not reported, please explain why.

Think those records are lost too?

@coldjoint,
Conservatives, they whine when the government regulates things and then whine when there isn't enough government regulations.

@parados,
Limiting the illegal partisan behavior of our tax collectors hardly counts as the desire for more regulation.

The Ticking IRS IT Department Time Bomb

Quote:
I would also ask for those who discovered and reported the crash to testify under oath, as well as any officials who reported the materials as having been irretrievably lost.

That question suggests that not only political operatives and career bureaucrats would come under oath, but IT guys, computer techs, database and data recovery specialists.

It’s not unusual for a political operative to take a fall in order to be a “good soldier” under the theory that it is easier to get hired by a campaign or put in a government job or a friendly think tank after committing an ethical lapse than to be hired by a campaign or being employed by a friendly think tank after reporting on an ethical lapse.

This however doesn’t apply to the IT department, these guys can often find better work at a better wage outside of government and their expertese and ability to get job is not tied to

It’s one thing to get a political hack to lie under oath or to take a fall to keep himself viable in that world, it’s quite another to get the non political people who have no real skin in the game to be willing to perjure themselves before congress in an attempt to claim incompetence.

These guys simply aren’t going to take the fall for a bunch of political hacks.

Would you go to jail, Parados? They could be looking for volunteers.http://www.acidpulse.net/images/smilies/rofl1.gif

ONCE AGAIN THE U.S. HEALTHCARE SYSTEM (PRE OBAMACARE) RANKS DEAD LAST IN QUALITY, BUT WAY FAR OUT AHEAD OF ANYBODY ELSE AS MOST EXPENSIVE. U.S. HEALTH CARE--PAY MORE GET LESS. AND IT'S BEEN THAT WAY SINCE BEFORE 2000.

Quote:

JIM YOUNG / ReutersThe latest Commonwealth report on health care ranks the US last among 11 countries — again.
The latest look at the U.S. health care system compared to other rich countries shows — yet again — that the United States comes in dead last.

Americans spend far more per person on medical care, yet are less healthy than people in 10 other countries. The system is less fair than systems in other rich countries and it’s far less efficient, ranking last of 11 nations, the Commonwealth Fund report reads.
The nonprofit Commonwealth Fund has been publishing its report — based on data from the World Health Organization, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development and its own research — for a decade.

.

“Among the 11 nations studied in this report — Australia, Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States — the U.S. ranks last, as it did in the 2010, 2007, 2006, and 2004 editions,” the report reads.

“Most troubling, the U.S. fails to achieve better health outcomes than the other countries, and as shown in the earlier editions, the U.S. is last or near last on dimensions of access, efficiency, and equity."

The embarrassing reports have been an impetus for health reform in the U.S. including the 2010 Affordable Care Act. Before the issue became a divisive political debate, both Republicans and Democrats agreed strongly on the need for health reform.Some politicians have held up other countries’ health systems as examples of what they don’t want for the U.S., but the report finds countries with nationalized medical systems outperform the U.S. on all the measures.“On indicators of efficiency, the U.S. ranks last among the 11 countries, with the U.K. and Sweden ranking first and second, respectively,” the report reads.

Americans aren’t living any longer, either. “The U.S. and U.K. had much higher death rates in 2007 from conditions amenable to medical care than some of the other countries, e.g., rates 25 percent to 50 percent higher than Australia and Sweden. Overall, France, Sweden, and Switzerland rank highest on healthy lives,” the report reads.

“The U.S. ranks a clear last on measures of equity. Americans with below-average incomes were much more likely than their counterparts in other countries to report not visiting a physician when sick; not getting a recommended test, treatment, or follow-up care; or not filling a prescription or skipping doses when needed because of costs.”

The Affordable Care Act, widely known as Obamacare, seeks to fix this by making private health insurance and Medicaid far more widely available.

Yes, georgeob, there IS ample historical precedent for what I say. Real world experience, for the last fifty years (and in at least one case for over a century), proves that "socialized medicine", run by governments, DOES work better, and works better at half the cost, of the failed US healthcare system (pre Obamacare).

That is why leaders from other countries came here for healthcare? You know, like the king of Saudi Arabia, among others.

Brand New Armored U.N. Trucks Moving Through South Georgia/Alabama

Quote:
Why would brand new United Nations armored vehicles be moving through the Southeast United States? Are they manufactured in the area? Where are they being moved to? Did you see this convoy or others like it?

There have been an increasing number of reports of military truck movements all over the country during the last year or so, but they are always seen on the road, never leaving somewhere or arriving somewhere.

Anyone got any ideas about where they are going?

I know enough to understand a loser who thinks he is a victim. You are devoid of any blame for your situation?

Not a chance. Your actions or inaction got you to where you are today. Not the laws or society. They are nothing but a system to manipulate through grievances to get a check to you and others who figure it is easier to take than earn.

Joining the group of whiners to avoid any personal responsibility is a cop out. Deal with individuals.

@coldjoint,
Listen, you go to register, you have an address. One name to one address. You get a library card and/or a utility bill. This proves you actually live at the address.

"How many illegals get utility bills". The very best you can do? sometimes you are worse than a very nasty eight year old.

Should I use a picture ID so I can register? They will probably ask for it. Every government run agency requests picture IDs.
