For the tiny number of you who are concerned about Miranda and me, I thought it might be fun to diarize the Tale of Two Kittens, as the hour draws near.


Will they arrive safely? What will they be like? What will their names be? How will Miranda cope and will I be able to make it work for her and the Kits?

Will the little black boy be as naughty as he looks?

Will I be allergic to them? = 8 -> 0


These and other questions will slowly be answered.


Its K hour minus 25 hours.

Well, right now she's sleeping and I'm watching tv...or was

Tomorrow I'm cleaning and sorting unless something better comes up....and likely socializing and going to an art exhibition.

Actually Miranda is looking pretty crappy but she's got a bug and is being treated for it so I hope she picks up.

I went and rubbed my nose into as many Rexes at a cat show as I could so I hope it's ok!!!!

Short version:

Dlowan's very charming cat Miranda has been on death's door many, many times, but she doesn't actually go through, and inexplicably perks up to charm another day.

Meanwhile, when it looked like Miranda's death was imminent, dlowan went ahead and bought two new kittens that would be delivered in the future, a future that dlowan assumed (with ample reason) would be Miranda-less.

However, Miranda is still charmingly alive. The kittens are nonetheless on the way. What happens next? We shall see, on "As the Fur Flies."

Thanks for the explanation!

I was thinking, from reading this thread, that Miranda was having kittens. I knew that Miranda was unwell so I was really puzzled.
