1990 ford probe dies when foot is off gas

recently my 1990 ford probe began to die out whenever the gas pedal is not pressed. if i give it gas in park it stays running but when i take my foot off the gas it dies....any ideas on where to start are appreciated

is your check engine light on?

my bet is yes.

have someone read the codes (most auto parts stores will do this for free)

don't let them sell you anything based on the codes until you talk to a real mechanic...

Fuel line could be clogged or the idle setting could be off.

is it turbo???? i keep poppin off my rubber boot that goes to my throttle body and thats wat it does.. and it makes it run rough....
